The Patent Pending Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ has revolutionized the way we carry automatic rifles. Developed with industry friend, firearms expert, and former 1st SFOD- Delta operational member Larry Vickers, the Vickers Combat Applications Sling™ incorporates key features from real world experience that makes the sling effective and durable - the choice sling requested by name. My department has been dealing with Offbase for a lot of our equipment. Great customer service, and I love how their inventory is live. Definitely recommend them for any of your needs.
I'm comparing this directly to my VTAC sling.
There are two advantages you get right out of the box. One is the sling is cut to the proper length to fit most modern long guns. No cutting or fitting of any kind needed with very minimal slack once adjusted properly. The sling is perfect to set up on nearest to the muzzle or as close to the rear as you can get. Perfect length.
Second, I like the fact the sling can be used as a shooting support sling. While it's not as good as a dedicate 1908 sling, it's more than enough to use as a hasty sling.
The main reason I don't like this sling is that it gets messy when on your body. I could never get the strap portion that goes around your back to go on right. With the sling being so thick, the sling can really dig into your back and shoulders. If you carry all day, for whatever reason, you're going to really feel it at the end of the day.
