The Thorax Plate Carrier combines decades of operational experience with modern materials to create a comfortable feature rich armor system that is adaptable to any mission set.
The Thorax Plate Bags are compatible with most VELCRO® Brand hook and loop entry systems and are optimized for use with the Thorax Cummerbunds, Thorax Cummerbunds and Side Entry Panels, Thorax Chicken Straps, and Thorax Incog Elastic Cummerbunds enabling end users to customize the fit, form, and function of the armor system to any job requirement.
The Thorax Plate Bags integrate seamlessly with all Haley Strategic Chest Rigs and Placards, all FlatPack models, and any other chest rig or placard utilizing standard 1" buckles and hook and loop front panel attachment.
FRONT BAG DETAILS
- Buckle covers to protect hardware, reduce snag hazards and prevent accidental unlatching.
- Compatible with all HSP chest rigs and placards.
- Push-to-talk (PTT) anchor points.
- Integrates with FlatpackV2 or FlatPack+ via the FlatPack Piggyback Straps for quick, independent access.
- An expanding gusset to accommodate SAPI plates and/or soft armor ranging from .75” to 1.125” thickness.
- Padded Airborne, Maritime and Pursuit (A.M.P.) chin protector and Thorax thermoform pad for additional comfort and air venting.
- MOLLE segment integrates with both Kagwerks and Juggernaut EUD mounting platforms.
- The plate flap closure ensures retention of the armor plates during airborne operations.
REAR BAG DETAILS
- Compatible with the FlatPackV2, FlatPack+ or other MOLLE options.
- The back of the plate carrier can be used for communications antennas, cables, etc.
- Cable routing channels enclose power and comm cables reducing snag hazards.
- The same plate flap and closure as the front bag ensures secure retention of armor plates.
- Thermoform back pad for additional comfort and air venting.
- Expanding gusset to accommodate plates ranging from .75” to 1.125” thickness.
- The low-profile Thorax adjustment hardware reduces snag hazards and retains fit.

I have used crye jpc 2.0 for about a year and decided to go for something new
Yeah, for the money you get only two plate bags, but it still worth it. As for all Travis Haley gear, I advise to see his videos on YouTube and use it the way it suppose to be used
For someone who have used more than a few plate carriers in his life, the difference from Cry and other style plate carrier is the small Gucci stuff
For example, the jpc is an amazing hot whether plate carrier.
The Thorax padding makes it a bit more warmer, but you get great cut for the stock placement, a lot of pass trough places for comms, and some more 'Gucci' in a pack that weight less than the JPC 2.0

Pricey considering your only paying for two plate bags, besides that the shoulder straps are not removable to be able to put a buckle. Also the front swift clips are a little high. I maxed out my trex-esstac placard and the adjustment was pretty long. Other than that it's built nicely with good cord retention

I was worried this was going to be cheap and low quality, but surprisingly it is very well made, all parts and material made in the USA, durable. Price is still stupid considering you have to buy all the components separately. If you’re just cosplaying it’s overkill, but in real life situations it’s a legit product. Again price is a little extreme even for the high quality.
