The Mayflower 5.56 Hybrid Chest Rig is designed to be a low profile, light weight general purpose chest rig for the Military individual, Law Enforcement Officer, or recreational shooter who requires the flexibility to add to or take away from the base platform to accomplish his required task.
This chest rig is designed to carry four 5.56mm magazines (6.8mm or similar sized) in an integral pouch with an adjustable shock cord retention system closure. The front of the magazine pouch has three general purpose pouches sized to carry mission essential items. The sides of the chest rig have three rows of PALS webbing to tailor the remainder of the chest rig for the mission. The body of the chest rig has a built in map pocket with a Velcro® closure.
The H style harness features loops to route antennas, comms wires and hydration bladder tubing. The rig is removable via 4 one inch ITW-Nexus side release buckles and designed to be mounted to the front of the Low-Profile Armor Carrier. The 5.56 Hybrid Chest Rig comes with Velocity's standard H-Harness. All hook and loop material used is color matching Velcro® brand fasteners. All materials and workmanship are 100% made in the USA.

The quality is top notch! It's not too big like a full size chest rig, but not too small like a micro. I like that I have a little bit of customization with it. I can add whatever I want on the sides. Shipping from Off Base was extremely fast! I'll be coming back there in the future!

This is a great chest rig. The material is tough. Stitching is excellent. Overall design seems good. It's just expandable enough without being silly. Good stuff.

The entire rig works great; personally I saw this as a must-buy. Especially if you prefer sleek modular chest rigs, instead of lots of pouches. If you DO prefer more pouches; buy the Mayflower "The Pusher" or the Mayflower UW Gen IV. Both are also sold here.

Great Quality and Fit

Hard to beat the price for fast shipping and no lead time. Shipped to me within a week and came in perfect condition. The harness took a while to adjust just right and USGI mags where a little difficult to insert but I’m sure with practice it’ll become second nature. I primarily use this for hog hunting trips and it works great. Doesn’t mess with my pack straps and barely noticeable on the shoulders thanks to the low profile straps of the harness. The stitching of the harness is great and I’m positive it’ll have years of use ahead. I would absolutely recommend this product for tactical or hunting purposes.
